'Process % Processor Time' is not available in the generated HTML report

Hi,

I'm using PAL on Win7 x64, it works great except that I do not get the 'Process % Processor Time' in the generated HTML report. I'm using the default threshold file (System Overview) and I can see it its details that 'Process % Processor Time' has been added already.

Has anyone ever faced this problem and what should I do?

Best regards,

Hi Kacharuk,

Sorry for the delay in my response. I've been heads down trying to finish my book on this subject.
Make sure that all instances of \Process(*)\% Processor Time are being captured. I commonly find that only the _Total instance being recorded and PAL largely ignores the _Total instance since it has no practical use.

Open the counter log that was created in Performance Monitor and browse the counters to ensure that there are counter instances for \Process(*)\% Processor Time. If so, then send me the counter log and I will debug it. http://aka.ms/PalUpload

If the process counter instances are not showing up in the counter log, then its a problem with the performance counter data collector which is an operating system feature.
