Feb 23, 2011 at 11:46 AM

Hello,
i have an SQL Server 2008 R2 with 1 Instance installed.  How should I define my InastanceName?

For example: COLLECTIONVARNAME="CollectionOfMSSQL$<InstanceName>BufferManagerBuffercachehitratio". If I set this Variable Name then, when I execute, Í got an Error Message:

Invoke-Expression : The variable '$CollectionOfMSSQL' cannot be retrieved becau
se it has not been set.
Bei C:\Program Files\PAL\PAL v2.0.7\PAL.ps1:3134 Zeichen:22
+     Invoke-Expression <<<<  -Command $sCode
    + CategoryInfo          : InvalidOperation: (CollectionOfMSSQL:Token) [Inv
   oke-Expression], RuntimeException
    + FullyQualifiedErrorId : VariableIsUndefined,Microsoft.PowerShell.Command
   s.InvokeExpressionCommand

Thanks for any help,

The PAL tool automatically understands SQL named instances. There is no need to manually define it. Are you getting other errors when running the tool unmodified?
