I'm looking for threshold files for Windows Media Services 9 and 2008. Anyone have anything for these platforms or advice on how to configure them?

I don't have anything on Windows Media Services 9. If anything I would closely monitor network latency (ping), packet loss (pathping), and transfer rates (100MB transfers).

Regarding Windows Server 2008, here is the official performance guide:
http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/system/sysperf/Perf_tun_srv.mspx

Here is my blog entry on measure CPU in a Hyper-V environment:
http://blogs.technet.com/clint_huffman/archive/2009/05/11/do-not-use-task-manager-in-hyper-v-for-processor-measurements.aspx

The PAL tool has a Windows Server 2008 threshold file that monitors the Hyper-V performance counters with thresholds.
