Hi All,

First time using PAL. PALWizard.exe seems to be doing nothing after 15 hrs runtime.
  • V.2.3.6
  • Threshold File: SQL 2005/2008 for 140MB SQL 2005 .BLG file
  • Analysis Interval: AUTO
Any Idea?

Thanks,
Burhan

Ops. My mistake. I was running PAL on Win2003 (older Perfmon) using the BLG files from Win2008R2.
It works on Win7 or Win 2008.

Ah, good catch! Yep, the BLG file format changed between Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008. Windows Server 2003 computers cannot open or parse counter logs from Windows Server 2008 or later.

I don't know of a reliable way of identifying this situation and relaying it to the end user. Let me know if you have any idea on this. Than you!
