I have been using PAL on a number of servers and a number of them are showing the error "More than 80% of Pool Page Kernel Memory Used" (or some other %. The common thread is that they are 32 bit Windows 2003 R2 Ent servers running with more than
4GB of memory with the PAE switch turned on. Clients are reporting various problems on the servers related to "slowness". Admittedly there are other problems on the servers. I have read the links associated with "Memory pool paged Bytes"
but I still don't understand exactly what is going on here and what they are telling me. Are there any other good articles/links, etc. that might help me improve my understanding.
I need to know how significant this threshold is and if there is anything that can be done about it (other than converting to a 64 bit OS) so undertanding what is happening under the covers would help that process.
