Are the ValueAdded_Scripts still used?

I used PAL in mid 2010 on a Server 2003 problem with great success. Now I want to use the latest release on a Server 2008 R2, but it looks like things have changed. I seem to remember downloading PAL_ValueAdded_Scripts and running a VBS script that would use "logman" to start the perfmon with the counters I would need. In the new downloads sections I do not see these scripts, and I also do not see any documentation on running perfmon. Do the old scripts still work? Can PAL work with Server 2008 R2?

Hi BALR1415,

PAL v1.x shipped with the perfmon scripts as value added. In PAL v2.x, I didn't include the value added script because I wasn't sure if anyone was using them or not. Since you are asking, I will include them in the next release in PAL v2.0.8.

Yes, the scripts should work fine on Windows Server 2008 R2. Yes, PAL v2.x should work fine on Windows Server 2008 R2. I do my testing on Windows 7 x64.

I have them as part of the build. They should be showing up the installation directory of the PAL tool. In any case, I have uploaded them to my Microsoft SkyDrive. You can download them from here:
