************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

What did you do to produce this error?

Feb 9, 2011 at 9:10 PM

I am receiving the same error. To reproduce:

  1. On the 'Threshold File' tab I select 'Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008' from the drop down list
  2. Click the 'Export to Perfmon Template File...'
  3. Browse to the save location
  4. Type a file name
  5. Click 'Save'

This results in an error. I am encountering this error on Windows XP. I have not tried it on a different OS yet.

Thank!

Thank you for the repro steps. I reproduced the problem on Windows XP and will try to fix it. It works fine on Windows 7.

I found the root cause. I tried to open one of the threshold files assuming the active file path is still in the application installation directory, but when the save dialog box is used, the assumed file path changes to the target file path. I have this fixed in v2.0.8. I have published a beta version for you to try at: http://pal.codeplex.com/releases/view/51623

Please try it and let me know if it is fixed. Thank you!
